In the convocation of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, that held in 2023, Vivian Chikwado Urama of the Department of Soil Science was declared as the best graduating student the University of Nigeria has ever had. Ms. Urama beat the long-held record of Osita Ọnuma, who graduated with 4.98 from the Department of Electronics in 1998. This makes Ms. Vivian Urama the best graduating student to have graduated from the university.
On the award night, Ms. Urama was awarded more than 8 awards of academic excellence. She is an exceptional lady who excelled in her studies shattering all outstanding records. Now, let’s take a look at who Ms. Vivian Chikwado Urama is.

Ms. Urama is from Iheaka in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Enugu State. She was born on 2 January, 1998, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Urama resident in Kogi State at this time.
She started her primary school at Redeemer Nursery and Primary School Ankpa, Kogi State. Upon her graduation from the primary school, she emerged top of her class and graduated from the school as the best-graduating pupil.
For her secondary school education, she enrolled at Dr Williams Kupiec Girls Academy Agbaduma, Kogi State where she was notable for her brilliance and dedication in her academic pursuit from Junior Secondary school to her senior secondary school education leading to her successful graduation from the school as the best graduating student in 2014/2015 academic session.
Right after her secondary school, she enrolled at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where she got admission to study Soil Science. According to her, she got admitted late, and had to cope up or meet up with the exam. However, she was able to meet up and maintained a stellar performance and CGPA until her graduation in 2023, finishing with the highest CGPA of 4.99.
Ms. Urama is a very calm, and focused lady. After her graduation, she has already gone on to be a tutor in an international college. We do hope for the best for her.
