A writer and government functionary recounts on Facebook that

“Engr Dave Umahi , had two things in mind while he was fighting to become a governor of Ebonyi state.

First, was to change the narrative of the way people think about ndi Abakaliki and secondly was to bring Ebonyi state to the world map and I think he just did that within 8 years in the office.
Dave brought a lot of Ebonyi people , especially Abakaliki and Izzi people home.

Ebonyi people are now proud to be called nwa Abakaliki unlike before.

Dave Umahi may not be a Saint, but is he not from Hell, he is the most working governor in the eastern states within these past 8 years.

Today Ebonyians witnessed the first flight landed in their own land, in the Airport built by their own son.

Air Peace 5N-BXF landed safely at about 03:50pm
