The Minister of Works, Babatunde Raji Fashola, commissions an Estate in Enugu in May, 2023. The Minister was at the event himself with the other political elites. Fashola asserts that the estate is part of the Federal Government’s effort and input in providing affordable housing for Nigerians.

The estate project was undertaken and constructed by a firm called I-Connect. This is the reason why the estate is called I-Connect Housing Estate in Enugu city of Enugu State. The estate is close to Phase Six, Trans Ekulu.
The estate project is achieved or carried out with the funding and help of Federal Mortgage Bank. There are over 200 units of houses in the estate. The houses there are affordable and are for middle-class families.
At the commissioning of the project, the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Cecilia Ezeilo, represented the Governor of the state. She praised the idea of the project, and called it part of the efforts by the people and government to provide a good number of affordable houses for Enugu residents.
There were other political elites and Nigerians in attendance.
