Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State rates his performance well as the people rate him poorly. The Governor of Abia State, in a statement, stated that he’ll be a happy man after leaving office. This, of course, is coming on the heels of the criticism that has trailed his poor performance in the office as stated by the citizens of his state.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State rates his Performance Well as People rate him Poorly
The Governor, on being asked what he would be remembered for or remembered as, he states it that
“I will be exiting the Office of the Executive Governor of Abia State a Happy man.
To have secured our dear state for 8 years, delivered over 250 roads, built over 750 new classroom blocks with 4 model schools, sent over 250 Abia Youths on Scholarships abroad and will be Commisoning over 11 projects in the next one week, I feel fulfilled.”
This is not how the citizens of his state feel. Okezie Ikpeazu has been criticized severally for his lack of performance and ineptitude. The only part we can state that Ikpeazu did well is in terms of security. He performed poorly in terms of infrastructure and job provision.
Mr. Ikpeazu is so terrible that he didn’t remember he would stop the flooding and eyesore in Aba until he was about to leave office. A lot of civil servants in the state have not received salaries for over 30 months. They are on strike few days to the handover.
