Having lost his father when he was eight-years-old, young Chika Okafor understood that he has to work hard to keep the family financially afloat with his mother. Thus, he helped his mother out in frying akara and doing other menial jobs to ensure the family feeds. He also did other jobs to pay his school fees while growing up in Nnewi. At a tender age, he owned and managed a poultry farm of around 500 birds exhibiting entrepreneurship from such young age.
Chief Okafor moved away from his mother to go become an apprentice in his uncle’s business. It is after his apprenticeship that he started off on his own.
