Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma hails from and was born in Uruebo village, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Anambra State, in 1980. He is the youngest of seven sons of Bartholomew Obiechina Obimma, who was a tailor, and Grace Obimma, who was a clothing seller. His parents were fully into fashion business.
Rev. Fr. Obimma started his education journey by attending Ezunaka Primary School. He went on to receive his junior secondary school education at St. Paul’s Seminary, Ukpor, and then he finished his secondary education at All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha. For senior seminary education, he went to Pope John Paul’s Major Seminary, Awka, and Blessed Iwene Tansi Major Seminary, Onitsha. In seminary school, he was nicknamed Ebube Muonso. After completing all of his seminary education, he got ordained as a Catholic Priest in August, 2011.
His first assignment as a priest was at Uke, where he got to love the community, and started his first foray into ministration, healing, and deliverance sections. He was later posted to Onitsha. From Onitsha, he was posted to Umudioka to be the first parish priest of a new church, and he has been there since then. His primary interest is at his Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, which he started as a young priest. His ministry has grown over these years, and he has followers all over the world numbering more than 300,000 people.
Aside from his ministry and priestly duties, he has also set up businesses to add to the productivity of his state, and employ people as well. He has a water bottling and water producing company in Onitsha. Rev. Fr. Obimma has also set up international colleges in Onitsha and Igbariam. He also has other business interests. His businesses employ more than 1000 people directly or indirectly.
